History

The Humane Society of Angelina County provides a safe place for animals awaiting adoption as well as providing pet- owners a income based low cost spay/neuter program.


Our Mission

The Humane Society of Angelina County dba/aka Winnie Berry Humane Society strives to stop the suffering & death of unwanted pets, prevent pet overpopulation, educate the public, provide services to improve animal care and welfare and provide shelter & support to homeless animals.

Organization Overview:

Humane Society of Angelina County, dba/aka Winnie Berry Humane Society of Angelina County is a

NO KILL animal shelter holding 501 (c) 3 non-profit status with IRS. All donations are tax deductible.


Winnie Berry Humane Society has several programs including caring for, housing and adopting dogs and cats thru an application process and Income based, Low Cost Spay and Neuter program for households making under $40,000.


We receive no government funding, relying on grants to support in part our Income based Low Spay and Neuter programs. and donations, and fundraisers such as the Dog Day's of Summer Golf Tournament to allow us to keep our shelter operation open.

WBHSAC is not affiliated with or a member of any National Animal Welfare, Animal Rights, or Humane Society organization. All donations and funding received remains local to support our mission.
